Edmonton International Airport is an international airport serving Edmonton and surrounding areas in Alberta, Canada. The power station is expected to begin construction in early 2022 and begin operation at the end of the year. The project will bring about US$169 million in foreign direct investment to the Edmonton metropolitan area. The electricity generated by the photovoltaic power plant will be fed into Alberta Fortis and airport distribution systems.
